In July 2009 a study was commissioned to measure the pulling force of Spinal Stretch. Thirteen individuals between the ages of 18 and 62 participated in the study, which showed that Spinal Stretch generates a pulling force on the lumbar spine of 43% - 55% of body weight-- well within the range required to achieve spinal decompression.
